User interaction improvements: App Catalog now uses an automated process to detect if user interaction is appropriate for an app update. App Catalog checks for certain characteristics such as the use networking, microphone, camera and more.
Delay App Updates: App Catalog now allows administrators to delay app updates based on a number of days. You can configure a set of rules to granularly control which apps are delayed and for how many days. Users can transparantly see delayed apps in "Upcoming Updates" and when the app update will be available. More information:
Admin mode UI improvements: Catalog App in Admin Mode has a redesigned app details page, adopting a more native macOS design style.
Settings UI improvements: The Catalog App settings is redesigned with better UI and more information.
Bug fixes and minor improvements.
Force reinstall apps: Catalog Agent now supports forcibly reinstalling apps with the --force or -f option. This can be leveraged in use case such as troubleshooting or replacing Mac App Store/VPP versions of the app. More information:
Admin mode Deployment Tools: Catalog App in Admin Mode now includes Deployment Tools and allows administrators to easily download an app deployment script or package to use with an MDM solution. Administrators no longer have to manually create these assets and save a lot of time when setting up App Catalog. More information:
